Our proactive approach to addressing men's mental and physical health, education, and employment challenges in the UK. We focus on reducing male suicide rates, promoting healthy lifestyles, and fostering positive role models, embodying our commitment to improving the lives of men and boys in our community.
International Men's Day in the UK, observed on November 19th, is a reminder that we can positively engage with and address critical issues affecting men and boys. Aligning with this year's themes, we are committed to enhancing the wellbeing of men and boys, supporting relevant charities, and fostering constructive discussions about masculinity and manhood.
Zero Male Suicide: Recognising the alarming statistics that suicide is the leading cause of death in men under 50, with men accounting for three-quarters of suicides annually, we are dedicated to creating a workplace that supports mental health. Our initiatives include mental health training, accessible counseling services, and cultivating a work culture that destigmatizes mental health issues, reflecting our commitment to reducing male suicide rates and supporting mental health.
Healthy Men, Healthy World: While a significant proportion of UK men report good health, many face chronic health issues. Consequently, we prioritize health and fitness, advocating for regular medical check-ups and healthy living, thus contributing to a world where men's health is a key priority.
Building Stronger Communities: We understand the importance of education and employment as a conerstone of building a strong community. With a considerable number of young males not engaged in education, employment, or training, our focus is on facilitating skill development and educational opportunities, especially for our younger male employees.
Promoting Positive Role Models: We strive to highlight positive male role models for the younger generation. Our goal is to develop a corporate culture centered on mutual support and respect, enhancing the overall well-being of our businessand the communities we live in.
We beleive it is vital to not only recognise these challenges but also to actively engage in solutions: action and not just words. Through initiatives that support mental health, promote health and well-being, address educational and employment challenges, and encourage positive role modeling, we believe we make a significant impact in the lives of men and boys in our community.
